Settles Yes if, by 31 December 2026, the Riksdag votes on a Speaker's nominee for Prime Minister and fewer than 175 members vote against, so the nominee is approved. Ulf Kristersson staying on as caretaker does not count, though a fresh vote approving him does. No if no nominee is approved by then, including if failed votes force an extraordinary election.
