Trump’s approval is currently well below 45%:

RealClearPolitics average: roughly 37–38% approve / ~59–60% disapprove. Silver Bulletin (Nate Silver): around 36–37% approve, with net approval near –22. Recent individual polls have been even lower (Pew Research at 30% approve / 68% disapprove in early October; Reuters/Ipsos around 32%).

His numbers have been on a downward trend through much of 2026 and are at or near the lowest points of his second term. Getting above 45% by year-end would require a meaningful recovery of roughly 7–10 points.
